Patrick Thénière, CIM, Partner

Patrick Thénière, CIM

Mr. Thénière is a Portfolio Manager, President and Ultimate Designated Person. He has over 30 years of experience in financial markets and investing. His interest in the field began in the early 1990s, when he realized the importance of compound returns. He began his career as a trader at TD Waterhouse and then as an analyst and trader at Gestion Aequilibrium, which was acquired by Montrusco Bolton. He then managed a private portfolio using the value investing approach. He is a graduate of HEC Montréal (BBA Finance) and holds the Chartered Investment Manager (CIM) title.

Rémy Morel, CIM, Partner

Rémy Morel, CIM

Mr. Morel is a portfolio manager. He has over 20 years of experience in the financial services industry. He began his career as a segregated fund representative, which led him to develop an interest in companies in the financials sector, including banks and insurance companies. He was in charge of developing the portfolio of RCGC Management, a private investment company. Mr. Morel has an in-depth understanding of value investing of which he is a fervent ambassador. For a decade, he wrote a blog on LesAffaires.com about the stock market and investing. He holds a certificate in financial planning from the Université du Québec à Montréal and the Certified Investment Manager (CIM) title.

Maxime Lauzière, CFA, Partner

Maxime Lauzière, CFA

Mr. Lauzière is a portfolio manager. He has been applying the value investing approach to the management of private portfolios for more than fifteen years. Mr. Lauzière began his career in corporate finance at National Bank Financial and in the business valuation department of KPMG. He then joined Duncan Ross where he managed assets totaling more than $400M. His experience in asset management led him to become interested in the impact of psychology in investing, particularly with respect to cognitive biases. Mr. Lauzière is a graduate of McGill University (BCom Finance and Accounting) and holds the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation.

Mathieu Beaudry, CFA, Partner

Mathieu Beaudry, CFA

Mr. Beaudry is a portfolio manager. He has fifteen years of experience in portfolio management using the value investing approach. At the beginning of his career, Mr. Beaudry worked at Duncan Ross, a private investment firm based in Vancouver where he helped set up the Montreal office as a research analyst for the management of two funds and discretionary accounts totaling more than $400M in assets. Mr. Beaudry is a graduate of McGill University (BCom Finance) and holds the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation.

Catherine Meinrath, LL.B.

Catherine Meinrath

Ms. Meinrath is the Administrative Director and Chief Compliance Officer. Prior to joining the firm, she worked for an insurance and securities self-regulatory organization. Ms. Meinrath holds a Bachelor of Laws degree from the University of Montreal and has been a member of the Quebec Bar for fifteen years.

Fui Gbedemah, BComm

Fui Gbedemah

Mr. Gbedemah is an analyst. He stands out for his thorough understanding of value investing. Early in his career, he worked for two major Canadian fund manufacturers. Mr. Gbedemah is a graduate of Concordia University (BComm) and has successfully completed all three levels of the CFA program with a view to obtaining the charter once he has completed the required work experience.

Jonathan Brunette

Jonathan Brunette

Mr. Brunette is a client service associate. His interest in value investing led him to produce and host a podcast on the subject. In parallel to his job, he is studying at HEC Montreal to complete a bachelor's degree with a specialization in finance (BBA).
